ENTRY FOR TGNY100 WILL BE BY LOTTERY. REGISTRATION FOR THE LOTTERY WILL OPEN ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2026, AT 11:59 P.M. EST (NEW YORK TIME). REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 6, 2026, AT 11:59 P.M. EST. THE LOTTERY WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2026 AT 7:00 P.M. EST.​​

Those runners not accepted in the lottery will be automatically placed on a wait list, in chronological order of registration. Registration will re-open after the lottery takes place only if it appears that the wail list from the lottery might not be exhausted.
ENTRY FEES
The entry fees for 2026 will be $200 for the 100-mile race and $150 for the 100 km race, Entry fees for those selected in the lottery will be due within one week after the lottery, by the end of the day on Sunday, December 14, 2025. The acceptance email will give payment instructions by means of Venmo, PayPal, or check. No payment is to be made before the lottery takes place.
GUARANTEED ENTRIES
Those who qualify for guaranteed entry as described below may still put in their registration after the lottery takes place. The link will remain up through at least May 1, 2026.
Those who volunteered at the 2025 race for a full shift at the Mile 71 (Rockaway Beach), 75 (Jacob Riis Park), 80 (Sheepshead Bay), 85 (Bensonhurst Park), 90 (Leif Ericson Park), 95 (Borough Hall) aid stations, or at the Times Square finish line, or those who worked in the supply vehicle, are eligible for a guaranteed free entry into the 2026 race. Those who volunteered at the 2025 race for a full shift at aid stations from Mile 51 (Alley Pond Park) to Mile 66 (Addabbo Bridge) are eligible for a guaranteed entry into the 2026 race, with entry fee required.

Runners entered in the 2025 race who cancelled after the refund date, but who volunteered during the race are eligible for a deferred entry, and should re-enter their information on the guaranteed entry form.
Runners who are going for their fifth TGNY 100-mile finish and a 500-mile buckle, or for their tenth TGNY 100-mile finish and their 1000-mile award, are also eligible for guaranteed entry, with entry fee required.

All previous gender winners of the 100 mile race are also eligible for guaranteed entry, with entry fee required.​

Some registered international runners for 2025 who cancelled are eligible for a deferment to 2026. Please contact the race director if you believe this applies to you.

REFUNDS, CHANGES, TRANSFERRALS, AND FUTURE DEFERRALS, ETC.

Runners who enter the 100 km race may switch their entry to the 100 mile race up to one week before the race by notifying the race director by email and paying the entry fee difference of $50. Runners entered in the 100 mile race may simply stop at 100 km and receive a 100 km place and finish time, but they may also notify the Race Director in advance of their intention to switch to the 100 km race. No portion of the entry fee will be refunded.

Registered runners who cancel their entry by April 15, 2026 will receive a refund, minus a $25 processing fee, if they notify the race director by email to philip.mccarthy23@gmail.com. After that time, there will be no refunds given.
Runners may not transfer their entry to another runner. There will be no deferrals to 2026. No deferrals will be accepted from those who canceled in 2024 unless specifcally previousy allowed by the Race Director.

There will be a possibility of a late refund or a deferral if a registered runner cancels their entry and agrees to volunteer at an aid station instead.
Our application form and race have gender options for male, female, and nonbinary athletes. No one’s gender will be questioned or require verification.
