WHAT ARE THE GOLDEN TICKETS?

Placed along the TGNY course are five Golden Tickets, redeemable for a free entry into the 2026 race! They are placed and currently available to find. These are actual physical paper Golden Tickets, similar to Willy Wonka's Golden Tickets. Find a ticket, fill it out, and mail it back to the address provided to receive your free entry. The winner will be automatically entered in the 100 mile race, but as with all 100-mile entrants, may drop down to the 100 km race at any time, including on race day, and receive a 100 km finish time and place upon crossing the 100 km finish line. The ticket is valid only for the 2026 race, and only for the person whose name is on the entry form. The finder of a Golden Ticket may give the ticket to a friend, or sell it to an enemy, but once it is received by the race director, it is not transferrable to another person. Only the person whose name is filled out on the ticket may use it for a race entry. If the winner cancels their entry, they may not defer to 2027.

WHERE ARE THE GOLDEN TICKETS?

The Golden Tickets are placed at five different locations along the course, they are for you to find. They are not hidden under rocks or behind bushes, they are visible if you are running on the course in the direction of the course.. Basically they're taped to light poles or something similar. I will not disclose here what they look like, but you will know them when you see them.

WHEN WILL THE GOLDEN TICKETS BE PLACED OUT ON THE COURSE?

They have been placed on the course and are currently available to find. I will update this page of the web site immediately upon receipt of each ticket, including the location of each ticket found, so that you all know how many are left, and when they have all been found and returned. I am expecting them all to be found and returned fairly quickly, but the final day for me to receive them is May 1, 2026. In the event one is found after the December lottery and the finder has already secured a place in the race, any entry fee paid will be fully refunded.

MAY I KEEP THE GOLDEN TICKET AS A SOUVENIR?

Absolutely! But then you will not get the entry into the race. To get the entry, you must mail the actual ticket. There is a cover page which does not need to be returned, only the page with the entry form needs to be returned. In the event the ticket is too damaged to write on, the finder may write their entry information on a separate sheet of paper and mail it to me, but they must also mail all remnants of the original ticket. No photocopies, photos, or social media posts or messages will be accepted for entry. Nothing will be official until I receive the actual paper Golden Ticket. The winner will receive an immediate email confirmation.
